Our typical viewer would be a boy named Carl, he would a 17 year old currently living with his mum and his step dad. Carl is a White British and he is currently going to Royal Latin Sixth form. He is currently studying studying A levels; Art, Media, Photography and travel and tourism. He is planning to go on to University in Oxford to study Architecture in the next couple of years. As he wants to be an Architect when he is older. He lives in a quiet village called Buckingham on rich and wealthy estate. Carl is currently single and starting to do his driving lessons to be able to be more independent. Carl is currently part time employed as a lifeguard at the local swimming pool in the village.
Carl gets his clothes bought for him from his parents. He has a certain allowance each month on how much he is allow to spend out of his parents money. As he comes from a relatively wealthy family, the amount of money he is given is around £250. Normally in school he likes to be a team leader because he feels he is a strong dictator. He likes to be highly competitive with other classmates. In his spare time he enjoys socialising with friends in parks and around town. He is quite popular and very likeable in and out of school, this is what gives him his confidence when leading in school.
In a normal day of Carl, he likes get up quite early before school to make sure he always on time to school. Carl always makes sure he dresses up smartly and correctly before he starts an average day in school. Carl normally has to walk to school as he lives fairly close to his school. In his free time Carl like to spend revising or playing football and socialising with is friends. Once a week Carl also likes to visit a cinema with his family to see a new released movies. Carl is very interested in thriller because he would believe that horrors are over rated from a very predictable endings. Where he thinks that thrillers are mysterious and more realistic rather than horrors.
Carl is often shy around new people and he also feels uncomfortable. Often when Carl does not achieve on something he gives up really easily. Carl is also very stressed about his upcoming A2 exams at the end of the year. Its making him panic and loose control. He feels very uncomfortable seeing inappropriate scenes of murder and blood around.
Carl is a very tolerant person. He respects and understand other religions and people from other background as he is also a Christian. When Carl would be interested in listening to rap music; his friends listen to different type of music to him however he respects their opinion and doesn't say anything.
Carls ideal night out would be spending it socialising with his friends, watching thriller movies and listening to Rap music like Eminem, YG and A$AP Rocky. He feels very comfortable around his siblings and friends. Carl specifically really likes films like The Purge, Sin City, Dawn Planet of he Apes and The World War Z. Additionally Carl really likes to watch comedies with a good story line and good jokes. Carl prefers to watch movies on DVDs or online streaming websites like Netflix. He feels very emotional and tense about horror and thriller movies the way they are shown and filmed.
